can duskwalker not be blocked by any creature except artifact or black creatures eventhough the kicker cost was not paid?
well the text is kinda confusing.. |

I don’t see why the text would be confusing, it’s actually quite clear:
"If you paid the kicker costs, ..." which means, if you paid the kicker, you get everything after the coma, if you didn’t, you only get what’s before that sentence, which in this case is nothing. |

well i got confused with the double quotation mark. i mean why does the second part of the sentence need to be quoted? so it made me think that its an inherent ablity of the duskwalker. |

It’s quoted because you have to consider as if that was the only thing written on the card. For instance, if a creature has a kicker cost and says that if you paid it comes into play with ": Regenerates.", the idea is that if you didn’t pay the kicker cost, you ignore the text completely. If you DID pay, you ignore the first part, and consider the creature as just reading: {b}: Regenerates. In his ability box. |
