If the Free Peoples player puts on or takes off The One Ring, you may take a or Man into hand.
“He came forward into the firelight; but most of the company backed away, even more perturbed than before.”
I’d specify "from your discard pile."
I actually intended for it to be "from play". Should I specify that?
Yeah. And I agree with Lem0n; it should cost. . |
I had to put something here. |

Fine but what use is it? Id make it cost 0.
This card could be HUGE, actually.
Remember that a couple of the / Men do their most powerful stuff during the Shadow phase (either during the phase itself or when they’re played), so then taking them back into hand to do it again next turn (or next site) could be a pretty powerful ability in and of itself. I’ll lower the cost to , though.

Exert a minion (except an enduring minion) or Man to reveal the Free Peoples player’s hand. He or she must either discard a Free Peoples card revealed or add a burden.
“‘We’re a bit suspicious round here of anything out of the way – uncanny, if you understand me; and we don’t take to it all of a sudden.’”
Fine but its unlikely they wont have a freeps card during the shadow phase so its unlikely get the burden.
Understood. This one is mainly designed to discard events that might hurt your Men, and thus enable them to stay fresh (and exert-able) throughout the rest of the turn. It’s really their only defense against archery events and skirmish events and the like. But hey, if you get a burden instead, that’s fine too, right? |

Have to say that this still seems too dependent on combos for not much of an effect. Make it a condition with an each time text and fair enough (you can only wear the ring once per turn), but as an event it’s really useless.

Very . I think I’d actually take more of a lesson from Bound to Its Fate and make it cost without an exertion, especially given that its ability isn’t quite as good.

We’ve got lots of cards that make the FP player discard from hand. Now let’s make them REALLY cry about it.
Queer Travellers
Condition • Support Area
Each time the Free Peoples player discards a card from hand, if you can spot 2 or Men, the Free Peoples player must make a companion resistance -1 until the regroup phase.
“‘Well, Master Underhill, if I were you, I should stop your young friends from talking too much. Drink, fire, and chance-meeting are pleasant enough, but, well–this isn’t the Shire.’”
Note it’s non-unique. That means that, with a smaller fellowship, the FP player might be forced to start targeting the RB with this if you have a really good turn of it. The effects are temporary, of course, but with the handful of burdens the and Men can add, any additional resistance reductions, no matter how limited, can really, REALLY hurt.
Mind Yourself
Condition
To play, exert a or minion (except an enduring minion). Bearer must be a companion. Limit 1 per bearer.
Each time bearer moves to a sanctuary or dwelling, if you cannot spot a minion, the Free Peoples player may heal bearer.
Each time the fellowship moves to any other site, you may spot a or minion to exert bearer.
“‘Don’t get lost, and don’t forget that it is safer indoors!’”
And this one LITERALLY hurts your companions. In the right deck, though, it can blow up in the Shadow player’s face, so hopefully that (plus the minion spotting requirement) keeps it in check. |

Seems balanced.

I agree...except Tolkien and LOTR TCG itself (Frodo, Tired Traveller No Travellers In This Land) disagree. Gotta stick with how THEY spell it, I think. |
