Strategy

Fellowship

I normally bid high and go second, you will want to play to your sites, and you will need to move to a site that is already out. Theoden gives strength bonuses at a plains or battleground, and most of the sites are either plains or battleground. Eowyn gives a strength bonus when she wins, so always make sure she wins and that you resolve her first. Strong arms gives a strength bonus, and makes sure that you get theoden’s bonus if you aren’t at a plains. The trick is to make sure your opponent is ahead, and then play strong arms to the site you are moving to. Otherwise it won’t do you any good at all. You will notice that there are not many strength cards, but you really shouldn’t need many. King’s board helps out in a lot, and combine that with a thundering host and you have a good strength boost if you need it. I normally try to kill them with the shadow, but this deck can move quickly if the need arises.

Shadow

Wound them until they die. Raider bow ensures that you will have enough twilight for that red wrath, and the line of defense makes sure that your minions will get a chance to fight. Most minions have th ability to wound at the start of the skirmish, and the ones who don’t are very cheap minions with ambush to help keep twilight in the pool for the skirmish. Mumak chieftain with a mumak is bad times, especially if you red wrath and then win the skirmish.
