A mega burn deck that combos to kill.

--- end description ---

Okay, inspired from F_M’s D-Storm deck, I want to build something like it, only different.

Lands (22):

Molten Slagheap x 4

Spinerock Knoll x 4

Mountain x 14

Accelerators (4):

Lotus Bloom x 4

Instants/Sorceries (26):

Arc Blade x 2

Grapeshot x 4

Rift Bolt x 4

Browbeat x 4

Dragonstorm x 4

Rite of Flame x 4

Needle Drop x 2

Wheel of Fate x 2

Creatures (4):

Bogardan Hellkite x 4

Enchantments (4):

Pyromancer’s Swath x 4

I hope F_M doesn’t mind me stealing his idea.

Frankly, the point is simple. BURN! Just D-storm alone is enough, but the burning with tons of suspended cards is even better, as it combined with Pyromancer’s Swath = tons of burning. Especially with Grapeshot. |

Fells good, huh? Until you take a Story Circle to the face, that is... |

Took one. *wince*

Actually didn’t do that bad. Some Volcanic Awakening slowed him and I was able to get him down to 6. (BTW, I’ve messed with the deck a lot. Hence, Volcanic Awakening). 3 suspended Rift Bolt/Needle Drop/Grapeshot worked well on outpacing his mana, and that after D-storming 4 Bogardan Hellkites and swinging with them, it was pretty good. But then he pulled Sacred Mesa and all the Pegasus on me. Ouch.

I now use Fungal Reaches and pack Spring Cleaning in the sideboard. I may go for Pithing Needle, but Spring Cleaning has it gone, kaput, forever, vs it getting Oblivion-ed out of the way so Story Circle can keep working. |

| Yeah. But if they drop 2, you depend on winning a clash. And by dropping Pithing Needle the turn you go off, you spend 1 more mana and guarantee that it won’t bother you, no matter how many Circles he has. |

| Not instant speed. you can still drop Needle, name Story Circle, and combo away. |
