Well, CBB and me decided to split the set. I need him to PM me regarding what he planned for Gondor, but First I decided to make an Elendil...so without further ado, Elendil.
Elendil, Lord of Arnor
Companion • Man
Strength • 8
Vitality • 5
Resistance • 7
Lord- Muster. Damage +1.
To play, spot 2 men. [b]Fellowship:[b] Play an artifact on Elendil to draw a card for each other Lord you can spot.
"In this place I will abide"
Ok I had some serious DC block Essentially he is meant to be setting up a kingdom, and drawing you cards like mad. as said i need celebrimbors input before I really decide which direction to take gondor, but enjoy your spoiler. |

Spammers really are amazing creatures. You can learn all there is to know about their ways in a month. And yet, after a hundred years, they can still surprise you. |

Okay, in all the discussion I ended up losing track of what Lord meant.
Am I correct in thinking it means "At the start of your turn, name another companion of the same culture. That companion gains [whatever]."? |
Never kid about politicians. The more bizarre the joke, the more likely it is to come true. |

It seems an excessive ability. I’d prefer something that triggered more often and was less powerful.
And a reminder of Lord would be greatly appreciated.

Methinks that it would be better to do something like, Fellowship: Play an artifact on Elendil to draw a card for each lord you spot.
That way, you can’t use another ability to play an artifact and do something, it has to be fully dedicated to card drawing. Also, if it goes outside the Fellowship phase, it doesn’t get stopped by the rule of 4, and thus, you can pull off some crazy shenanigans *cough*elvents*cough*

Havent been following CBB’s thread cos i got bored of all the discussion over the 2 mechanisms and stopped reading when no DC’s seemed forth coming. Can you tell me what the final decision of what Lord does please so i can review.

Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!
Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North! |

at the start of each of your turns, you may choose a [culture] companion. That companion gains [keyword] until the end of your turn
I am ashamed. my major pet peeve and I forget. Nbarden your advice will be taken and the card edited.
anyone have any ideas for themes for Gondor? I would kinda like a card drawing damage dealing sort of thing. How does that sound? |

Looks good so far, SoP. You could go on into this and start gondor as serious cycling machine, which gondor needs.
And I go along with NBarden’s suggestions.
When it comes to DCs, I am an individualist. Therefore, I focus on one card at a time, rather than the set as a whole. But I think it’s coming together OK. |
