Lookin’ good. Obviously AD’s and NB’s wording is correct.

Yeah fine.
Narsil, Blade of Kings
Artifact • Hand weapon
Strength • +1
Vitality • +1
Bearer must be a Lord.
If bearer is Elendil, He is Damage +1
If Bearer is Isildur, each time he is about to take a wound in a skirmish, you may discard a artifact to prevent it.
If bearer is Aragorn, he is Strength +2.
Nice but the isildur thing doesnt seem as useful as the others, but has potential. Good card.
Imrahil, Lord of Dol Amroth
Companion • Man
Strength • 7
Vitality • 3
Resistance • 7
Lord-Vitality +1, Knight
To play, Spot a Lord (or 2 knights). Skirmish : Exert Imrahil and discard a event from hand to make a companion strength +X, where that companions vitality is X.
Same point on wording as everyone else. Awesomely powerful gametext as NB points out it gives everyone anarions wording, but it requires a lot so

Others have already given the major comments, so I will nitpick!

Hey, isn’t that title a reprint? Anyway, "companion" and "damage" should each be lowercase. Told ya I was going to nitpick!

Here, "damage", "bearer", and "strength" should all be lowercase. "to prevent it" should probably be either "to prevent that" or, even better, "to prevent that wound". You MAY want to consider making it +2, as NB recommended, though that would be borderline OP with Aragorn. Oh, don’t forget the uniqueness dot!

Missing uniqueness dot here, too. Also need a period after "Knight", and "spot" should be lowercase. Oh, and put the skirmish ability on a seperate line. Otherwise good! |

First cards edited. Second: with more vitality stuff, it in some ways IS strength +2 (imrahil’s ability for example) and a +4 possession would outshine just about anything else aragorn could bear. 5 reviews...that must be a record.
GP: To AD for lore.
the isildur thing isn’t as useful, but I will have several generic Gondor artifacts (Thran was right, I couldn’t resist the idea of lots of artifacts) that might be useful to discard in a pinch.
and of course Imrahil is powerful, he is my favorite character . I will have another versino of him later BTW, and his sword, and his armor, and his horse, and an event for him, and some of his knights, and a card based on his Aragorns and Eomer’s skill in battle.
the anticipation is killing me.
I don’t feel like doing too many DC’s today, so just this one.

Each time Aragorn wins a skirmish, you may wound a minion not assigned to a skirmish.
Each time Imrahil wins a skirmish, you may play a fortification from your discard pile.
Each time Eomer wins a skirmish you may heal a or man.
Too powerful?
I know there is god lore, but I can’t find my copy of ROTK. it is at the end of the battle of pelennor, when they list of the dead is told, and the fact that these three didn’t get hurt is too.
Just as a sidenot, does that part mean Legolas and gimli got hurt? |

You definitely need to call this card ’Lords of the West’, which ties in beautifully with your title apart from fitting the card perfectly. Firstly, ’Man’, not ’man’. Secondly, I think you should limit these abilities to perhaps if they’re Lords only, or make a slightly worse ability and then tag on the ones above if they’re lords. That probably wasn’t very clear, but I mean something like this:
’Each time Aragorn wins a skirmish, you may exert a minion not assigned to a skirmish (or wound that minion if Aragorn is a Lord).’
etc. I think that would be awesome, but it’s a fantastic idea for a card.

I second everything Thran said.
As for lore, I believe you mean this part:
J.R.R. Tolkien wrote: Aragorn and Éomer and Imrahil rode back towards the Gate of the City, and they were now weary beyond joy or sorrow. These three were unscathed, for such was their fortune and the skill and might of their arms, and few indeed had dared to abide them or look on their faces in the hour of their wrath.
Probably should just use the second sentence, though good luck getting even THAT to fit on a real card. |
