Well, here’s an email I sent out. I figure it doesn’t hurt to ask!
Subject: Request for a favor for CC users
Dear Mr. Brace,
I am a relatively new user of your site, cobracards.com. I realize that you are no longer selling cards. However, there is still a thriving Lord of the Rings community on the forums, probably the only one online right now (Decipher’s forums are down). One feature that the forum members loved and still miss is the AutoLink from card titles to card images. I have set up a website (http://kralik.110mb.com) with a database of LotR card images and game text. My goal is to provide LotR fans with information about the game long after Decipher moves on. If I was able to provide you with a list or spreadsheet of all of the card titles and links to the appropriate html pages that give the card images and information, would you be able to make AutoLink work again? I don’t know how hard it is to do, but if it’s as simple as importing that list into some part of the forum software, I think it would be worth the time and effort.
