| Has anyone ever thought of a format in which you play without a ringbearer? Lots of characters in LotR were busy with protecting the ringbearers savety by fighting somewhere in Middle Earth. The ringbearer could be replaced by a banner-bearer. Banner of Westernesse, Banner of Elbereth..any banner would do. It would be a straight-forward format in which strength would get a central place I guess....I think it would be cool |

| Then would there be no burdens? Only about survival? That sounds cool. I think you would have to change some of the rules like you could only have 7 companions or could use 6 twilight for your starting companions including your banner carrier. Like if Aragorn was to carry your banner you would only get 2 more twilight, but if Merry carried it, you would have 5 more. Or would you be restricted to playing only one culture? |
