i am in no way saying that atar foil *is* worth 68 dollars
i was simply making a comparison of prices based on a similar citation...
however it obviously was worth 68 dollars to someonem, because i know that at one time (long ago in a galaxy far far away) ccgobsession did have an atar foil in stock, and now they do not
--------------------------
i am in no way telling you that you are wrong for thinkin the way you do, but allow me to disagree...
the actually worth of this card or any other is not appraised by how effective, usefull, or trenchant they are but by the laws of supply and demand.
everyone who has an atar foil is holding on to it (many, like myself, for foil collections), this drives the supply down...
may of the people who dont have, one want one.... driving the demand up
both of these situations add to the already high price of the foil rings
yes, other cards are better and more effective
but how good a card is does not necessarily matter for price....
and btw, my common sence tells me that a non foil ring of doom is a "better" card then atar foil as far as gameplay, but that doesnt mean i would be willing to trade one for the other...
my common sense also would never alow me to belive that any amount of c/u cards could ever be worth an atar foil, even if they are "good" cards...
my final thught on this is to wonder...
are you a player, collector, or both?
by a players standpoint....
the most logical cards to search for are the ones that you need in a deck....
by a collecors standpoint...
the most logical search is one that ends with cards and foils that can be difficult to track down (ie. atar foil or all the promo cards that go for 60 usd)
if your both, then you have a melding of the two logics....
overall its really what a person is wanting that really says if the card is worth it to them
OH...... P.S.
you dont have many total posts and ive not ever seen you around... i can only surmise that this means you are new to the forums....
welcome to our humble assylum!
and alow me to say that in no way do my verbose and palverous ramblings denote any intent of mine to be antagonistic in nature toward you
please notify me if you happen to have a trade list or intend on making one that i can take a gander at |

I see your reasoning, but I could never spend that kind of money on 1 single card. I am a collector and a player, but I am always looking for a good deal , so I don’t like overpiced stuff. BTW, I’ve been here for almost a year, but thanks! |

I bought all of my foil rings on ebay a LONG time ago. At the time, the common foil rings went for around 10 bucks, and the rare foil rings went for between 25-40 bucks. I was lucky to act then, as I have very seldom seen foil rings listed on ebay since then.
I would suggest listing the card on ebay without reserve, whatever happens you’ll get the most of what people are willing to pay. |

Or in H13’s case, probably a reserve. If someone buggers off with it at $0.99 (could happen with choice misspellings), I would fear for his state of mind. |

Tell me more about this H13...I keep seeing it mentioned, but I’ve never heard of it. Where can I find it? |

no.... ccgobsession is a great play to make a comparrison of the "worth" of the cards in question.... but not something i would suggest basing your trade off of
cobracards was the best pricelist i have yet to find... but it doesnt exist anymore...
also i didnt look up the total amount for each c/u
southron muderer is nearly 2 usd each
i was mearly making a compariison to show that atar foil can be worth that much....
i honestly believe that this deal is just about as close to perfect as your going to get for two persons like yourselves...
MR. L-
i didnt even notice or think to look below your name. it says when you joined
referring back to my previous question... do you have a trade list?
i would love to make a deal |
