With the culture wrapping up, there’s only one "culture" left to run through: sites.
Right now, the sites I’ve been designing for this set follow the old-school sitepath, with them being numbered from 1-9, just as I did for my first set Lasting Alliances. I planned on doing this with all three of my LOTR sets, meaning I’d follow the same pattern for The Way Into Mordor and The End Of All Things. However, I planned on creating a lot of post-Shadows-style sites for my final set, Ages of Middle-earth, that would revisit many of the locations in my three LOTR sets (and Lasting Alliances, based on The Hobbit).
My question is: do you all even want old-school sites? Or would you prefer I start from scratch and make all sites from here on out post-Shadows-style? Just curious what people’s thoughts are before I start posting any actual sites.
Well, okay, here’s ONE:
Nen Hithoel
Site 9 [FotR]
River. Each time a Free Peoples character is placed in the dead pile, add [X], where X is that character’s twilight cost. |

Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!
Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North! |

I think you have one ’s’ too many in character’s, but otherwise it looks good.
And I’d like to see your old-school sites; I’ve never been too excited about the post-Shadows stuff made by D. |

I’ve always thought that the Shadows sites were probably the best thing Decipher ever did for the game. Less realistic, yes, but makes for so much better gameplay.
Nen Hithoel seems limited in usefulness for a site 9 - what are you going to use the twilight for? I can’t imagine there are many cards that kill companions in the shadow phase. Might be a better site 8.

Since it seems the majority of folks have no problems with old-school sites, and some even prefer it, I think that is the route I will take...at least until Ages of Middle-earth.
So, with that settled, let’s get started, shall we?
The Ivy Bush
Site 1
Dwelling. At the start of the fellowship phase, you may exert a Hobbit to play a follower or tale from your draw deck.
Bagshot Row
Site 1
Dwelling. When the fellowship moves from this site, remove for each Hobbit you can spot.
Party Tree
Site 1
Fellowship: Play a or condition to draw a card.
Bucklebury Ferry
Site 1
River. Fellowship: Exert 2 Hobbits to play the fellowship’s next 2 sites (replacing opponent’s sites if necessary). Each player may draw a card for each dwelling or forest site played in this way.
Bamfurlong
Site 1
Dwelling. Plains. Fellowship: Play a companion to make an opponent discard a card from his or her hand.
Crickhollow
Site 1
Dwelling. While you can spot 2 Hobbits, the next companion played is twilight cost -1. Limit once. |

Shame you can’t fit something to do with fireworks on that card.

Seems high cost for not a huge benefit. Why does everyone draw a card?

I would almost certainly never use this one over for example The Ivy Bush or Bagshot Row. That’s an advantage of Shadows sites: if you could play this whenever you wanted, it would be a lot more useful.

But is a site played in time to affect the starting fellowship? Also, I’d want to enforce it more, after all lots of decks use Frodo.

Hey theres a pub near me called that! Id pick one or the other, sites generally arent that versatile.
Bagshot Row
Site 1
Dwelling. When the fellowship moves from this site, remove for each Hobbit you can spot.
Seems strong but ok.
Party Tree
Site 1
Fellowship: Play a or condition to draw a card.
Erm ok.
Bucklebury Ferry
Site 1

Cool.

Since when do hobbits do NPE?
Crickhollow

Dont you play sites after companions?

Tweaked Bucklebury Ferry to be more useful and changed Crickhollow so that, despite the somewhat odd wording, it should now work as I intended. I hope.
Thanks for the reviews, guys. More cards once these get a . |

Good.

Painful for the Shadow player, but appropriate considering the title. Well done!

I’d make it just 1 site. Hobbits and site manipulation don’t mix IMO...

...and Hobbits don’t do discard. Make it remove , although I’m afraid it’ll be OP then. Anything but discard, though.
