To ’Splash’ something in LOTR is to add it an existing strategy. There are generally two types of splashes:
1: Companion Splashes. These are companions who can be added to any deck without any support cards to fill in a weakness. Examples are: Derufin and Radagast, The Brown.
2: ’Package’ Splashes. This is when you add several cards to any deck to fulfill a strategy. Examples are: Gandalf + some of the cards listen in my article, and Smeagol, Always Helps + Don’t Look at Them + Dammed Gate-stream. |

incredible article! another "splash" companion is Grimbeorn, Beoring Chieftain, he can go in any deck bc of his lack of cultural reinforcement. Hes a beast when used correctly! and thanks for the idea with Watch and Wait, if i slap that on Durin III that should be very effective in keepin the burdens off gimli! |

wow. i am in awe of your article-writing powers I loved it! It perfectly shows the ways that Gandalf can be used in almost any kind of deck... would have been great if you added G for Grand though... perfect with all that burden removal! I will give you a 5. |

Oh man, I can’t believe I forgot G for Grand. I’ll add it somewhere in the article.
Thanks, EL! |
