However, the ships work best with corsairs. Southrons don’t really have a token game at all.

Black Sails of Umbar only works with Corsairs, but Ships of Great Draught works with all Raider sub-cultures. It’s just a bit harder to use with Southrons than it is to use with Corsairs.

That’s kind of what I meant. The cost is really steep for non-corsairs, because corsairs are the Raider token culture. Otherwise, you have to sap threats...although Southrons do seem to be into the threat thing.

Download the rule-book, and search for the word ’Threat’. It’s a mechanic that came out in the RotK set.

HMmmm...

I’ve made successful decks with minions down to 1/3 of the deck, but those were expensive shadow minions with many cheap possessions/events. The most successful decks I’ve made were almost exactly 1/2. Your deck will need more...

It shouldn’t be a concern to have a perfect ratio of minions in your deck, but
....I would bring it around 3/4’s or more for a swarm. So in a deck of 33-35, that would be somewhere between 24-26 or so. More or less with the amount of dependancy of your conditions/events. If you find that your conditions and events will need more space, you might have to sacrifice some minions. It’s important that you don’t just add to the total number of cards.

With ambush, you should have some way to use that extra twilight with events, or have something scary up your sleeve for the shadow phase if they move again.

and for those threats, Rallying Call is probably your best bet.
Some of the best scenarios on EE...
