This one's for you TheJord SOLO BILBO... think he's worth the card now? this is NOT my idea my cousin made it. Here Goes

                      Bill the Pony Dearly-Loved X1
                      Salt from the Shire X1
                      Red Book of Westmarch X1

             Concerning Hobbit's X4

Bilbo grinds along VERY slowly in order to choke while the Gollum minions do the work which I will post later. Say what you think think what you say.

Unfortunately, Bilbo, BotB makes a really bad choke deck because of his drawback of adding [3] or 2 burdens. If you really want to choke, I think you'll need more burden removal or you will end up corrupting yourself.

Actually, no. The way he play it he always get more than [2] out there.
I've played it a couple of times and it's actually an awesome choke.

But then you're still looking at AT LEAST [2] extra in the pool every turn. Not exactly typical choke fare.

I'm not saying it can't work. Consorting With Wizards, in my opinion, makes the twilight less of a risk since you basically just have to keep Bilbo from being overwhelmed or corrupted; wounds are no issue unless you happen to be facing archery (the biggest risk to solo Bilbo, in my opinion). But it's not a true "choke" deck when you're adding a minimum of [3] each move.

I'd be curious to see a solo Bilbo with a couple [Shire] allies and Habits of Home (which could actually be borne by [Shire] allies, could it not? ;)). Or perhaps the same with Aragorn WTG and NSttS. That's more choke-like than Bilbo alone, methinks.
Best regards,
Dáin

sudden fury is awesome with Consorting with Wizards and it helps with the cost problem.

Well my hat is off to Centurion for this. I should make a list of cards I deem rubbish and open a challenge to those wishing to prove me wrong

Dain is onto something, WTG is a cool Expanded concept with Bilbo. I recommend a Smeagol / Be Back Soon package, or even Scouting as you have Elven Long Knife. Use You Must Help Us to bring him back and heal Bilbo, Daddy Twofoot keeps it coming back... a bit combo intensive but its all good. How to remove burdens though...

Maybe, I say maybe add another Scouring. You need protection. And don't listen to all the Smeagol nonsense :D...solo = solo!
Thror's Map has got an errata, so useless with just one Shire companion....

And I would always add Captured by the Ring. An additional threat is always nice. That way you can also include Heavy Burden, for more burden threat. Oh and since you go expanded: Ulaire Enquea, Lieutenant of Morgul for crowd control and death upon your enemies....

Hey good idea however Enquea kind of ruins the theme herm but so does Shelob so I shall consider it. Thanks for your interest. Travis (My elusive cousin will be happy to see the response to his idea

Thanks,
