Real nice tone AMF.  Trying to pick a fight with Lurtzy by calling him a Noob?

It's called supply and demand.  You don't have to like the fact that a piece of cardboard is worth more than $50, but it is, because no-one can find anymore RoS boosters.  Your comparison with Gandalf's Cart fails to compare, because most of the cards he has are available elsewhere for much less.  They are not usually worth what is paid.  But RoS MW Foils are impossible to find outside of Ebay or trading.

I wasnt picking a fight with him or anyone else, and he wasnt the highest bidder so how i was referring to him at all id like to know where you pulled that from.

A cards true value is by the rarity of the card, not the lack of people wanting to sell them.
Supply and demand forces cannot mistake the true value, the fact is - there are plenty of MW foils out there - people just dont want to sell them. This does not increase there value. Otherwise the dude on ebay asking $1000 for a FOTR foil set would have got what he was asking - its been the first FOTR foil set on ebay for sale in the last 2 years. But simple fact is there are an abundance of FOTR foils out there, just no one parting with them, which doesnt make them any more valuable.

Its this irrational thinking that i must have this card - there hasnt been any for sale in ages - it must be hard to get = must cost more money = the card must be very expensive.

There are still thousands of printed RoS MW foils out there, and im sure they will continually appear for sale/trade all over the place. Its the cards that there are limited prints of that id consider highly valued and hard to get. eg: the online release promotional cards 0P62-0P67 - now they are no doubt the least printed cards from the entire series bar 0P127.
And there is no supply of these cards of late, so maybe i should just 1 rediculous payment and state they are all so valuable like they have done on ebay with the RoS MW.

Sorry, just seemed a bit weird that Lurtzy had just said that he bid $70 and then the next comment you said people paying that much are nubs/noobs.  Mb if I took that wrong.

We'll just have to disagree on this.  There may be plenty of MW foils out there, but the fact that no-one wants to get rid of them imo does drive up the value of the remaining cards.  You can talk about "true value" all you want, but when someone comes to this thread to ask how much a certain card is worth they are usually asking because they are deciding on a trade or such.  So I would tell them that since RoS MW foils are going for a crapload on Ebay, don't let yours go for any less.

yeah, but still, he's meta dependent. If your people like to play hunter Elves, yeah, he's worth the spot. But other than that, he can turn out to be nothing but waste of space...
