I wanted to build a gondor deck that didn't use tokens, although it may be beneficial to add Houses of Healing or Noble Leaders.  My friend runs gondor tokens and I didn't want to have a similar deck, but I also have cards like Elendil and Narsil sitting around in my binder not being put to use.  Therefore I wanted to run something different.  I have a knight deck and again my friend runs roaming rangers so I was looking for something other than Knights, Rangers or Tokens.  The other options may be Gondor with Gandalf, but I run a wraith deck with Gandalf.  Or Gondor archery, which this deck has a bit of.  Thanks for the thoughts!

Isildur RB
Resisitance Ring

Faramir, Captain of Ithilien
Denethor, Lord of Minas Tirith

Aragorn, Thorongil
Elendil, The Tall
Legolas, Greenleaf

Anduril, Sword that was broken
Narsil, Blade of the Faithful
Scroll of Isildur
Shards of Narsil
Sapling of the White Tree x2

Gondorian Blade x3
Armor of the White City x4
Aragorn's Bow
Faramir's Bow

Rumil, Elven Protector
Orophin, Lorien Bowman
Celeborn, Lord of Lorien
Elrond, Herald To Gil-Galad

Still Sharp x4
Secret Sentinels x2

The Last Alliance of Elves and Men x3

The Idea is to use Denethor at site 3 to get Aragorn and Shards of Narsil.  Aragorn is the Main companion,  and Having Shards at site 3 will allow still sharp to work.  Aragorn is 8, hunter 2, Anduril 2 (vitality +1, damage +1), Armor 2, and Last Alliance 3, for a total of 17 strength.  Elendil is 8, Narsil 6, Armor 2, and Last Alliance 3, for a total of 19 strength.  Faramir is 7, hunter 2, Gondorian Blade 2 (damage +1), Last Alliance 3, for a total of 14 strength.

There is a sword for Denethor and Isildur (can hold Narsil for Elendil), but the deck focuses on the other three gondor companions.  Denethor can be chumped after site 3 if needed.

Legolas is a splash companion that can work in conjunction with Aragorn's bow for some direct wounding should the need arise.  3 total archery otherwise.

Elven Ally's for Secret Sentinels and Last Alliance.  Elrond for some added healing.  If you face orcs or uruk-hai you have some added archery wounding via Rumil and Orophin.  Celeborn can heal elves if need be.

Major disadvantages would be burden adding decks and there is no possession removal.

I was thinking about Gondor Bowmen, but yes I would definitely need more healing.  I don't really like Dunadan's Bow because of the discarding 2 gondor cards.  Most of the Gondor cards in the deck are meant to hit the table as soon as they show.  The only thing that would be there to discard, barring the unfortunate need to discard something else, is Still Sharp and possibly Sapling.

I'm not really used to playing decks with a lot of wounding so I'm not really sure about how many strength pumps I would need.  I usually like to have about 8 in a deck.  Adding Defend it and Hope or Gondor Bowmen is cool, but I'm just not sure about the balance in the deck between Archery and Strength.

I suppose I could take out Still Sharp and Celeborn and add 3 Gondor Bowmen (all I have), and Hardy Garrison and Glimpse of Fate?

Arwen and Eowyn are good cards, too, but they'd be better in a Rohan/Elf deck?

Hardy Garrison is only worth it if you have the ability to lose initiative easily, which is why I suggested Dunadan's Bow and Defend it and Hope.

The awesome thing about that Arwen and Eowyn is that they work in any wounding deck! :hey:
