Iron Man
« on: May 29, 2008, 05:52:58 AM »
Saw it last night. Awesome suit, Iron Man himself was wicked though the film lacked enough fight scenes and, well, plain iron man himself. Less talky more smacky would have been better. Was still ok though.

Stayed til the end of credits as well...

I loved it, thought it was brilliant. Can't wait till Iron Man 2.

Cable, of course. Cable and Deadpool would make for a VERY interesting film....

Iron Man isn't one of my favorites, especially after this Civil War business, but I hear the film is quite good and intend to see it if I can ever find the time.
Best regards,
Dáin

The film was, IMO, brilliant.

I'm a huge Iron man fan (though, I admit, I haven't read any of the new stuff; I'm still somewhere back in the 60's or 70's, reading all the way through on the DVD-ROM set....) and I was figureing the movie would be decent.
It was easily the best superhero movie I've ever seen, with the possible exception of Batsy Begins. I'm not sure about that one. Have to see IM again to decide.

Everyone else I've talked to who's seen it also loved the movie, including non-IM fans.

IM2 is going to be awesome. I already see how a bunch of the stuff is setting up 2; the Terrorist group is "the ten rings..." Can we say "Mandarin"? Avengers and Captain America are going to be awesome, too.

Wanted to go see it opening night, but that was in the middle of the big debate tournament.
Forget it. I'm not arguing with the computer anymore to try to get the sig I want....

I agree completely.   This Movie is fantastic, and I'm not a big fan of Ironman.  Downey Jr was perfect in the role, the graphics, music and story all were solid.  Just a load of fun.   :D

Surprisingly I'd also rank it right near the top of all comic book movies to date.

Anyone see the preview for the incredible hulk?  I mean I wasn't excited at all about that movie.. but now I am!  Hopefully it will erase any memory of the crap bag that came out a few years ago.

"Less talky more smacky would have been better."  Class!  I wish more movie reviewers would talk like that!   ;D

I haven't seen Iron Man, but while watching the trailers for it, my teenagers and I agreed that it would be one of those movies that people either really liked or really hated.  I'll wait until it comes out on DVD to find out.
