I taught my friend LotR: TCG today!

Hmmm, I don't have too many rares but my friends and I like playing the game in a casual setting. I keep thinking of nice deck ideas but they always revolve around rares and having multiple copies of them and it really messes things up. If you had some good deck ideas maybe you should consider posting some of your decks online so we could build them =p. We have a pretty good supply of C/U/P

What I did was first build out the starter decks from sets.  I used the card list within the Decipher LoTR Online Deck Builder, each deck is filled out to 30 cards each side if you open up the starters in the deck builder.   What I did next was list every common and uncommon that had not been used within the starter decks for each block.  I then looked to see what strategies may be available within those cards to see what kind of decks I could build.  I added some of the commons/uncommons that had already been used with the starters that best went along with the deck I was building.  I'm not certain how balanced the decks are, but I plan to balance them best I can by either adding rares to the weaker decks ot by weakening the stronger decks a little if I have to.  I have to play them a few times before I go back and tweak them.  Right now the only card game my gaming group is interested in playing is Killer Bunnies which is a totally random no strategy type game.  It sucks to be outnumbered by girls.
