Here's my attempt at a Balrog - i haven't done much with dream cards - so it is probably a disaster  :-S

[2] [4] * The Balrog, Nameless Fear  [Moria]
Minion * Balrog
Strength 16
Vitality 5
Site 4
Enduring. Fierce. Damage +1.
When you play this minion to an underground site, discard X  [Moria] orcs to reduce its cost by 3 for each discarded minion. Discard this minion if not underground.
Regroup: Exert this minion to play your next site replacing opponents site if necessary. Your opponent may discard place a wizard companion in the dead pile to discard this minion and to prevent that.

The idea here is that if the Balrog is not discarded or beaten, the fellowship remains trapped in Moria (best represented by an underground site). Thus should setup a Balrog for the following turn (in theory). And if they move - they have an angry - and even stronger Balrog following them. Oh - and its intended to work with new site path.

I see what you are trying to do...

...From a flavor standpoint, what about placing the Wizard in the dead pile? Maybe adds a but with Sent Back as well for the story-like flavor.

I don't like the discard if not underground...what about the Pinacle?

Neat card though.

Oh Oh Oh I got one.
(1)(6) •Balrog, Nameless Terror [Moria]
Minion • Balrog
Strength 15
Vitality 5
Site 5
Damage +1. Fierce.
Manuver:  At the start of the manuver phase spot [Gandalf] Wizard and exert the Balrog to make the Balrog gain Enduring.  The free peoples may exert their [Gandalf] Wizard 3 times to prevent this.

Sorry if my format isn't up to snuff.  I am kind of trying to get back into the Dream Card making again.  So what do you think.

Hmmm...

I use the Balrogs game text - he gains Enduring

Wizard exerts 3 times to prevent this

I use the Balrogs game text again - he is Enduring and Strength 23 before any other modifiers are considered.

Wizard (unless he has healed) or if you have Gandalf and Radagast - cannot prevent.

This is probably not a good thing, especially as he is fierce. Although Balrog now killed by Frodo with Power according to his stature or anything else that inflicts one wound in skirmish phase. If you can't, probably two dead companions.

If ability is limited - problem may be solved. :)

you should probably make it a maneuver action so the freeps player would have plenty of time to kill you if you did it twice.

Well, that leaves him open to archery and manuever events, right? If he is exausted, then he is probably no doing to well.
