Well, using some strategies from Worldwake, all the transforming lands just have to be used, cus' they're to awesome. So, I'll show you some of the tricks I figured out in Multi-Colored decks, starting with..
Red/Green Aggro!
Well, starting with 4 copies of
Raging Ravine is clear, this one's great when turing into a 3/3 creature and getting some counters. Also, it produces both colores of Mana we need in this Deck, so let's see what else we have in here.
Comet Storm! Oh yeah, this one rocks! With the pretty cool Multikicker ability in here, you get some really exciting removal with this card. On the first view, this cad seems as to expensive to play, but check this out: Paying 3 mana as X, and then kicking the Spell twice makes you choose 3 targets to give 3 damage to each of those, making this 9 damage in total for 7 Mana!
Well, seing all these land-based strategies, I thought of doing that in my Deck too, so I'll take 28 slots just for Lands! Seems huge, and so it is.
But counting
Raging Ravine in, you got half land / half creature and then, I'll be also playing 4 copies of ...
Khalni Garden! Yes, this one's pretty cool too, starting with this one out and you get a token, meaning that even if this land comes into play tapped, you still got something in addition to this. The token you is a Plant, and with also playing so many Lands, I will add
Avenger of Zendikar, too. He's not just an awesome card, healso gives all your playnts a little bonus, and with
Khalni Garden, you'll get some of these tokens.
Now, it's time to get another red card, so playing all these Lands allow us to play our dear friend called
Dragonmaster Outcast!
(*Oh my good, another Mythic Rare, can't ou stop with this, I mean, nobody could make such a Deck ever!*)
Ahem...well, with this guy, you'll get a Dragon token after you pass round 6 and you'll get one EACH TURN! Holy crap, now we know why this card is a Mythic Rare, don't we?
When you're making a Landfall-Token Deck (and that's what I am doing right now, don't I), also think of the amazing token-creation-spell-times-three,
Bestial Menace! Maybe some of you old guys remember
Assault/Battery or
Call of the Herd, but this one combines the 3/3 elephant token theme with the 2/2 wolf theme (also seen before in Shadowmoor) AND the 1/1 snake theme known from Kamigawa.
(*Did I meantion that this is the first Uncommon in this Deck?*)
What we also need in this Deck, is Speed. Speed, speed, speed, to get your huge guys out and dominate the battlefield, and there actully is a very nice card to handle this:
Explore. if his card was released in any expansions b.L. (before Landfall), nobody would have even thought of playing it. But here, right now, it's a very good option to get the speed you need, which means in this case, triggering Landfall (hopefully) and drawing a new card. And do not fear drawing this card in the lategame, cus' in this Deck, you'll always have more than enough Lands to play.
So, stop the process and see what we've got until now:
Lands: 28
4x Raging Ravine
4x Khalni Garden
20x Forests/Mountains
Creatures: 7
4x Dragonmaster Outcast
3x Avenger of Zendikar
Other Spells: 11
3x Comet Storm
4x Bestial
Menace4x Explore
46 cards total for now, which means that the mainline is fixed.
So, what should we add next? Landfall or Tokens?
I say: Tokens!
Wolfbriar Elemental does a pretty good job in this Deck, and the later you'll draw him, the stronger he'll get, also pushing this 2/2 wolf token them, so 3 copies of him to make this Deck more variable.
As for the next card, we'll need something small, something tocreate mana, something like
Arbor Elf! Ok, ok,it's not a
Llanowar Elf or even a
Bird of Paradise, but it's still a 1/1 for 1 green Mana with a not even half-size-Garruk ability, but in this Deck, you'll need something like that.
As for the next card, I thought of something like cycling, something that lets you get some new cards, and remember, artifacts can be used in nearly all Decks.
(*In all Decks before Wizards had this stupid idea to make artifacts, the embodiment of being colorless, colored!*)
(-Shut up, man!-)
So, I'd also like to add some copies of
Pilgrim's Eye, preferably 4, cus'this one is pretty cheap, filters your Deck and can can be played on each type of manabase you draw (except for the no-lands-manabase).
As for the remaining 6 slots, I'd like to add 2 copies of
Basilisk Colar and 4 copies of
Harabaz Druid.
Basilik Colar is a card that is described as "something that breaks the rules" on Wizards offcial site, but I just thinkthat it's a perfect card for protection and beeing used with tokens, as we are using in here. Deathtouch tokens are very unlikable, but with lifelink ... uhhh ... even more than that.
The last card I'll add to this Deck is
Harabaz Druid, a card that makes your manabase even safer, and even if I don' run any other allies, but when you got two of them in your starting hand... muahaha...
So, that finally leaves a Decklist like that:
Lands: 28
4x Raging Ravine
4x Khalni Garden
11x Forests
9x Mountains
Creatures: 15
4x Dragonmaster Outcast
3x Avenger of Zendikar
2x Arbor Elf
4x Pilgrim's Eye
4x Harabaz Druid
Other Spells: 13
3x Comet Storm
4x Bestial
Menace4x Explore
2x Basilisk Colar
I know, I know, Omanth would have been an option, and some dragons too, but this was just to show you how to use cards from a new expansion and how to build some Decks.
First, think of a strategy, represented with some kye cards you'll be runnung 3 or 4 times each. Then add some other cards that fit in this strategy too, some support cards. After that, look for a good manabase, cus' without that, you can't use any Deck in MtG. Finally put in some spice or splashes to make the Deck more flexible and voilà, there you go!
(*And btw, if you replace some of the cards like Arbor Elf with Birds and add some Lighting Bolt, this could be a very nice standard Deck.*)
JUST SHUT UP!
