Alternate Ring-Bearers
« on: March 30, 2010, 03:07:42 AM »
Hi,

I don't remember the rule about the alternate ringbearers, regarding if you can play them as a normal character and not as the ringbearer. I suppose you could do this, as all of them have costs bigger than zero. Which Frodos can be played as normal companions? I think that only Frodo Frenzied Fighter can do this.

Thanks,

ARBs can be played as normal characters, but they cost their regular cost. Indeed frenzied fighter is the only Frodo you can play as regular companion

If a character has ringed resistance but not the Ring-bearer keyword, he can be either a Ring-bearer or a non-Ring-bearer (which is why Smeagol, BoGS, has the "To play" gametext).

If a character has "Ring-bearer" printed on the card (i.e. all Frodos except FF), he can only be played as a Ring-bearer.
