What are your movie decks???
« on: April 25, 2010, 09:15:01 AM »
Just curiosity to see what people usually plays (real or virtual decks) and how they go with each...

I will start just for the example... all decks here i use at gccg but i got them (almost complete) in real card version as well...

Rainbow Freeps with Corsairs: Probably one of my best decks, this freeps never get killed in a game and i lost very few times being not able to stop or kill with shadow. usually goes for a freep win but corsairs...well...you all know them :)

Dwarven and Gandy with Morcs: This one's strategy is very simple: stay alive with freeps and build a shadow kill... usually it works pretty fine, but sometimes, depending on matchup and draws i got killed before i kill. I can't remember many people that reach site 9 alive. This one also have a good winning ratio.

Gondor and gandy with Sauron GROND: Freeps are ridiculous hard to kill after they set up and shadow is a pretty annoying one that keep freeps naked with grond and minions that discard conditions to prevent them from running and making them vunerable at the end. Doesnt work 100% of time but is very solid.

Rohandalf and Southrons with grima twist: Freeps depends heavy on the matchup, my winning ratio is not that good cause my freeps usually gets killed against a bad matchup (corsairs, enduring guls, etc) but i really like the shadow!

Hobbit crazy choke with Dunland site control: Probably the most "matchup-dependant" deck i have. Against certain decks its an auto-win or auto-lose, but i like the choke concept (and how its annoy my opponents ;P)

Well, thats it for now!

hope to read yours!

My three real-life Movie decks are posted here and mostly foiled.

[Dwarven] / [Moria] Swarm
[Gondor] Knights / [Sauron] and [Gollum] wounding
Saved From the Fire [Rohan] / Initiative [Southron]

Check my trade list for the remaining foils I need; I'll trade very well for them!

My favorite real-life deck is probably my Mallorn Tree/Arwen, Echo Of Luthien - Corsairs, the freeps is very, very matchup dependent, it dies to saruman's power or grond, HOTU, but I like it a lot

My best deck is a multiculti wounding that uses Preparations and Slaked Thirsts. I pair it with a Moria/Corsair swarm, that is very nasty. All the decks I have on GCCG I can built in real life as well.

One of my favorite Movie Decks to play is my Ringbound Rangers/Southron Wounding Deck

The most fun with a fellowhip I have is "Token Fellows" basically a multicultural token fellowship centered around Aragorn, DoFP. Condition removal obliterates it, but luckily my sole real life opponent doesn't pack many shadow cards that remove conditions.

My favorite minion side has got to be a Morder Orc Swarm fueled by burdens. One day I'll post it on here--I believe it to be one of my more successful creations.
