Wars TCG - A Couple Questions
« on: May 12, 2010, 03:32:43 PM »
I was wondering if anyone around here plays (or played) this game.  I am interested in learning more about, as it looks like a fun little game that the wife and I could play.  Does anyone have a rulebook or anything they could upload?  Is there a website that explains more about it?

Also, is the gameplay entertaining? I read somewhere that it is the same system as the SWTCG, but I've never played that either.  :-[
Do not take dragons lightly.  They are heavier than you think.

I've only played wars tcg a handful of times years a go, but I've been playing swccg for many years.  And as you said wars is based of the mechanics of swccg for the most part (though alot of things have been tweaked and streamlined).  So I'd bet you'll find it to be a pretty decent game especially if its just the two of you playing.  But I doubt you'll find many others who play that game these days (though Im sure I dont know).

Now star wars on the other hand has a thriving community (at least for a game thats been out of print for like 10 years) and theyre still releasing v-cards for it.  This I can say for certain is a great game.  Though it is definitely a little more complicated and more expensive to get into as well.  But as you can tell by my shameless plug I am slightly biased  :)  I think it all comes down to what you want to get out of it.  Anyways hope that helps!
