Armor of Khazad vs. Threat Wounds

I am wondering how that works. The
Armor
says add a threat to prevent a wound, so how does that work with a threat wound? My intial thought is that since threats are placed one at a time all you'd be doing by preventing is starting an endless cycle of placing and preventing threats. Is that right or do the actions happen in a different way? Thanks for any help.

All the threats are removed from the Dead Pile before being placed.
