http://www.gencon.com/2009/indy/default.aspxThe question is more along the lines of "what
doesn't happen at GenCon?!" Seriously, aside from the main gaming hall and exhibitor hall (which is freaking huge), there are gaming events of all sort happening
nearly around the clock for 4 days. Everything from LotR (if we held something ourselves) to L5R, from Anachronism to Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh, RPGs and LARPs. There are even events for non-gamer significant others that have been dragged along!
A couple of the traditional highlights of the show are the Costume Parade (and contests) and the (GIANT) CCG House of Cards. It's held at the Indianapolis Convention Center, which has its own restaurants, and is connected to one of the downtown hotels and parking garages.
Inside the Exhibitor Hall you'll find hundreds of booths set up selling everything from original art to dice and glass beads to CCGs and RPG books.
Usually the only thing that can keep a gamer away from something like this is either the cost or his wife (for whom the cost is a problem), so pack your bags and make up an excuse, let's go!!
