A curious format
« on: April 25, 2011, 06:11:31 PM »
Hellooo Guys,
I'm sorry if I'm posting it in the wrong place, I just dont have idea where I should make this topic,
and this place seems to fit haha,

Well, I'm with a new idea of a fun format, using LOTR TCG cards.

The usual formats we play are freeps + shadow + sites = deck vs freeps + shadow + sites = deck

I was thinking that we could make a new format that uses freeps + site = freep deck  vs shadow + site = shadow deck, to play using same rules and format displays and x-lists of the formats.
It could have more cultures combined, more combos, a little overpower, but it would be certanly a war!
I guess its more a playing style,
To win freeps deck should move and survive until site 9.
To win shadows deck should recover the ring until site 9.

We could call it Middle Earth format :}
What you guys think about it?

The difficulty with a format like that, (I assume your mean one player uses a deck of shadow cards while the other uses a deck of free cards) is that it ruins the strategy of the game, ie. double moving.  It gives the shadow more pool but allows you to have a higher chance of making it to site 9.  Also moving second to begin with would go out the window as there would be no second.  And who's sites would you use?  In the original game has rules for this.  We'd have to come up with a whole new set of rules.  (If I'm wrong about what you're suggesting tell me so.)
