LotR cards weight

Does anyone know how much do let's say a 1000 of LotR cards weigh (or have some cards and scales at hand)? I need to estimate shipping costs for quite a big lot of cards :)

Just did a quick check: 100 cards weighed 179g (6.3 oz).  Cards used were from set 11, no foils, no sleeve/cases, not in a box, so 1000 cards would weigh ~3.9 lbs (~1.8 kg) + the weight of whatever packaging you use.
