Highlander on GEMP
« on: December 04, 2014, 06:58:08 AM »
Anyone would be interested in playing highlander on gemp? With or without expanded X-list, up to you, I'm game for both.

If there is interest, is it possible that we get highlander as an option when creating tables?

For ppl not familiar with the format:

Highlander
-No X-list
-All cards restricted to one copy per deck

Enjoy!

It was fairly popular on GCCG, I usually found ppl interested in playing it back in the day. Most ppl prefered expanded X-list though to avoid infinite combos like Treebeard, KOTW + Steadfast Champion or infinite Erland and other miracles.

Sounds fun to me! I don't really think I'd have to change much with my current deck, there's really not a whole lot of duplicates in it.

I played in a highlander tourney WAY back after Helm's Deep came out, it was fun! I played Uruk-hai and Gondor/Rohan with a bunch of possessions. Gemp doesn't have it as a format but if you announced in the game hall some people might be willing to play by these rules.
