Things start to get goofy around site 6. Sandyman's Regroup ability is almost boorish in what it does, however unnecessary.
A card I had overlooked until this game was
Hemmed In
. This is obviously Open format, as I'm using
Strange-looking Men
, but
Hemmed In
can do almost as much damage!
Probably one of my favorite moments was FP player using
Hope is Kindled
on
Ted Sandyman
to overwhelm Frodo and remove a burden. There were many other possibilities that could have been made with Sandyman but in just one game wasn't able to tap into them all. The creation of a Hobbit minion was kind of off the wall...
Also, you might note that
Heavy Chain
doesn't work like it should when borne my a minion, much to Grima's dismay at site 8.
If you're interested in seeing a much shorter game with these two decks that ended abruptly when
Ted Sandyman
tried to stack himself on his dagger and, thereafter, made the page repeatedly right after loading.

Oh the joys of Open format using set 18 cards!

Exactly why I don't play anything after movie block. At least there was some attention paid to playtesters before the products shipped. My understanding is that
Mordor Fiend
was an addition to the set after the play testers gave their feedback. IMO, Brad DeFruiter was one of the worst game designers in Decipher's history.

Mordor Fiend
wouldn't have been a bad card if his ability could only be used once per phase.

Yeah limitation of
Mordor Fiend
ability would be nice, another chance to have swarmy mordor orcs...
