Forum Lows and Forum Highs?
« on: October 25, 2018, 08:18:12 AM »
Hi y'all,

Just wanted to know if there is a specific reason for TLHH being overwhelmed with post right now (at least relative to other days here)
and sometimes being just like sleeping, days passing without a single post.

Write your opinion down, I'm curious what you think.

When I joined this site, it was probably averaging thirty posts a day, so forgive me for not thinking this is brimming with activity.

I know I started a dream card thread and then posted about it on Gemp. That said, most of the traffic on the site has been the same couple of people.

The easiest way to get site traffic is to post, and reply to, a bunch of deck ideas. The problem is, it been almost a score and most of the deck ideas are played out. So we aren't going to drive some secret meta change in Gemp.

When Gemp was first created, I remember lamenting that it meant the probable death of the forums. Before Gemp, online players had to use GCCG which was great in a lot of ways, but most meaningful communication had to be done on the forums. Now, it isn't so necessary and players can go months without looking here, if they ever even do.

I still consider the GCCG days to be the "rare ould times." Still, it's nice to see that plenty of old-timers are still around, at least every now and again.
