The point is to use Incandescent Soulstoke to put a creature in play. Assuming that you have 7 mana, which is possible with Smokebraiders, you can put a creature in play, duplicate it with heat shimmer, swing for 20 and then use Rite of Consumption to hit for 30, 10 of that a lifeswing.

Never had problems getting mana-screwed. Just had tons of problems with control decks.

You're playing UR? Add in black for Bitterblossom (gives you a safety net), try to pack in a few changelings or maybe Vendilion Clique for disruption, Thougthseize to take away their pieces of disruption and use Mistbind Clique at their eot to tap out their lands. Done. Like Gigadrowse, back when it was a key-card in D-Storm.

Its actually BR, not UR...not sure how you got UR. I mean, its got Primal Beyond/Smokebraider to support the Mulldrifters, but the Supreme Exemplars are for the Soulstokes.

I like Thoughtseize. I'll try to work it in.

Why EOT Clique? Everyone runs Clique at start of upkeep. Taps 'em out faster.

Upkeep Clique is a typical Faeries move for aggro, you Time Walk then and is left with a big beater. However, EOT Clique emans they already spent some mana and are left with less options against it, and since you're playing "combo-ish", meaning you really don't care at all what they did during their turn as long as you get your to go off and kill, tapping their lands to play your turn undisturbed is all you need.
