This deck has done surprisingly well for me.  I just kind of threw it together with excess Dwarf cards.  It really needs at least one BRC, but if you're not dealing with too conditions it kinda works.  It uses a Mountain Homestead, Thorin's Harp, and Axe's.  I really wanted a healing engine for dwarves and that's where Aragorn Comes in.   The idea is that a dwarf will exert to make the site a mountain.  Dwarves gain Strength.  They win skirmishes, thus putting tokens on Stout and Strong.  If Gimli wins, and you want him to win, he gets tokens on Stout and Strong as well as my axe is notched.  Aragorn then heals the dwarf who exerted to make the site a mountain, and any other dwarves who were unfortunate to lose thier skirmish.  I use Gimli's Helm for things like Balrogs, Cave Trolls, multi-damage Minions and surprise wounds.  Last game I played I didn't have an axe on Gloin and he was a 15 with 3 Harps, Homesteads, and Brand.

I could use eager hunter, but it's kind of a toss up.  Grimir isn't necessarily needed either, I just thought I might need more dwarves and vitality.  It would probably be better to add another copy of Gloin.  Maybe a suspended palaces for one my axe is notched, also.

I would suggest Gimli, Feared Axeman, to keep your conditions...He is so much better for this deck than that Gimli...Other than that, neat deck, and good to see new decks posted!

Kind-of-unrelated question, but still, seeing Brand there made me want to ask. Has anyone tried pairing Brand with Gildor in a deck? It seems good.

Its a fair idea, but only really plays against swarms. Otherwise you just have 2 average strength companions that will get beaten up.

Assuming you're in the cultures already, you'd have access to Greenleaf and Gandalf, which could get nasty. Anyone up for tackling it? I would if I still knew any cards to put in a deck.

I would if I didn't think both of them suck big time LMAO

About the deck, a think it's interesting... a friend of mine played a similar build with Preparations and Rest By Blind Night, so dwarves exerted to stack stuff on preparations, and then they went back to the deck and aragorn would heal everybody after that.

Yeah, I know you can edit, but the computer locked up.  It let me back out, so I quick replied.  My axe is notched is only there for gimli to put tokens on so aragorn can eat them.

If you run a shadow that could control the sitepaths, you could consider Till Durin Wakes Again....undergrounds all the way and heal even more. That is how I run my mountain dwarves in expanded...

Yeah, I ran it with Aragorn, Heir to the White City via Prancing Pony fetch, then I ran choke like heck. Pretty much, the idea was to choke like mad, and then when I get swarmed, I max out the archery via elf archery and gorn's bow and such stuff. Everything else in the measly swarm eats a defender+2 gorn (I Will Go, Anduril that makes gorn def+1 without 2 threats).
