Okay, so this deck does one thing. CYCLE LIKE MAD! But unlike other mega-cycle decks, this deck can actually hurt a little.

4x Gollum, Old Villain
4x Goblin Runner

Let me explain the strategy to ya.

1- Dirt Cheap Cycle. Seriously, the most expensive stuff in the deck costs a total of 2 twilight. You should be emptying your hand each turn. Or just activate Slippery as Fishes ability and dump your hand anyways.
2- Killing power. 4 Howdahs are just there for the poke factor. Not much damage. However, a mad big Gollum + 4 A Shadow Rises does one thing. Stop the double.
3- The Freeps runs like mad...Fruit Loops or Radagast style.

Haha i like it. I have seen this variation using moving this way or multiple copies of stuff that costs 0 but this has more of a function than that. Id maybe throw a web or 2 in to catch gollum for emergency.

But...the primary purpose of the deck isn't to beat people up, its to cycle with as much functionality as is possible.

How does this stop large fellowships like your TtHG deck? Maybe a few copies of Gollum can be switched out for your minion of choice, because I think Old Villain will end up cycling himself or excess CbtR anyway.

The strategy is to pack Radagast on the Freeps and outrun the deck.

If you get everything right, you can stop a double or 2 with, like, 5 minions out. But, I'll admit, the chance is pretty slim there.

The point really isn't to stop anything. Its goal is to cycle, and if necessary be able to pack somewhat of a punch. Typically Swarm Style with Runners and A Shadow Rises should be effective in halting a double.

Here's another idea I had.

2x Unabated In Malice
2x Hidden Even From Her
2x Let Her Deal With Them
4x Gollum, Old Villain

The point here is to load up on Let Her Deal With Them on a turn when you have initiative and Hidden Even From Her is out. Then, you have a fierce, big, damage +2 minion (assuming everything's gone right).

Yes, it can.

So can the DWs, if you have some way to kill minions outright or overwhelm.

Hm. Then I would be pretty sure the Shadows wouldn't stop a Dwarven fellowship from double-moving: they do so much damage and generally have so much strength that the conditions would die. :S

Let them run. You run with Radagast. The point of this shadow really isn't to kill. The shadow can't kill at all. The point of the shadow is to set up your freeps.

I heard manu-fan won a TOC with a no-minion deck. Skipping most of the phases tended to clog his opponent's hand with FP cards, and of course bluffing helped too.

lol, ya, he just dropped LitW and they refused to double.

This strategy, though, doesn't carry the bluff factor.
