Just a question on Dain, king under the Mountain
« on: March 18, 2009, 06:51:42 PM »
Does anyone know the ruling if you start with Dain Ironfoot, King under the Mountain in your begining fellowship can you also start with Gimil son of Gloin since Dain's ability allows for dwarves and gandalf culture men to have minus one twilight cost? ???

Yes, you can  :uh-huh:

I have often seen the startingfellowship as the following shows:

Gimli, Bearer of Grudges
Dain Ironfoot
Durin III

yeah, it is really common in dwarf decks to do that. i always preferred my starting fellowship to look like this:

gimli, BoG
gloin, SoG
Durin III

Hey thanks again guys! One last question kind of referring to the same thing, can you have Dain, and a Dwarf guard (only twilight cost 1 but you have to spot a dwarf) so you can have Durin spot him instead of using gimli as your ring-bearer for your starting fellowship?

Yes, you can start Dain Ironfoot, Dwarf Guard (all 4, if you wanted), and Durin III.

Part of the famous Snow White and the Seven Dwarves! Only "Snow White" had to get herself banned. Maybe Gollum... nah...

If Glorfindel, Eldarin Lord cost (0) that would work out perfectly.
