Multiplayer on GCCG
« on: October 09, 2009, 04:58:01 PM »
I just saw they put back the 4 players table. Did anyone play a multiplayer game on GCCG before? If yes, did it work well? If no, let's try it! Hehe.

It could potentially be playable... except that two players have their dead piles missing. And then there's an issue that sometimes when you play cards they go off the screen. So... positioning bugs need to be addressed.

Ok, to everyone who haven't tried multiplayer on GCCG, I just played a game and here is what I have to say about that: It worked fairly well and it was quite fun. The only issues we had at the beginning was who does his shadow phase first and who play the next site. Also, with 4 players, it can be quite a long game so be sure you have enough time to play before you start one. Finally, cards are quite small but it's not a major problem when you use F5.

Yeah, it was prety funny, specially the part: "Gimme all twilight and i play Troll + Balrog + Swarm and then.. ooooops!  #-o back to 2nd grade mathematical lessons...

About the "who playes the next site" issue. I think people can elect one player to look at the arrow direction and that player can be the reference. Then count clockwise in case of he/she abandon the game to elect the next one to look. Same thing can be done for "who plays next?" freeps = clockwise shadow counterclockwise (i think).

Hope we can play more games like that!

Aren't the players seated at the table in such as way that the arrows can be determined? Two people per side of the table...

It seems that each player see the order around the table in a different way.

For the card layout to be preserved, the order should be the same...?

Even if I'm on the other side of the table, I should still have the same opponent to my right or left as can be seen from the first side.

Let's say the layout is:

P K
C M

Pepin and Kralik on one side, c10ckw0rk and Manuel on the other.

Maybe from my perspective it is:

M C
K P

So Pepin is still to my right (and Manuel to my "left").

...Right?
