Final Triumph

Got a question concerning this card. Does a character's vitality get altered by wounds? For example...If a character with 4 vitality has 2 wounds. Does that count as 2 vitality?

Yes, wounds take away from the vitality of a character. If that character has a normal vitality of 4, and then is wounded, only 3 vitality can be used in the skirmish.

Important to keep in mind for the likes of Everyone Knows.

Similarly, a character is exhausted if they have a vitality of 1. Thus, most Dunland and Moria minions are always exhausted.

Tnx for clearing that up then. I had been playing Final Triumph a while ago, but then wasn't sure if i used it correctly vitality-wise. Despite it's cost, it can be quite a magic bullet. :D

I may be mistaken (being that I've never played with any cards past set 13), but if you had, say, a 4-vitality Uruk against a 2-vitality Companion, wouldn't Final Triumph cause an overwhelm?

If so, that's awesome.  =P  Nice way to get around wound prevention, or just drop a companion that you otherwise wouldn't have damaged enough to kill!

Ugluk, Ugly Fellow + Isengard Siege Bow + Spear of the White Hand is trouble for any companion

Well, he only needs one possession or the other; being at 5 vitality isn't any more helpful than being at 4 in terms of overwhelms (unless he's fighting someone with 2.5 vitality  =P).  Though it's always nice to have an extra point of vitality in case he gets wounded, of course.

And it's priceless to see the expression on the opponent's face when he's trying to overwhelm an urukhai with Cirdan, for example... :D
