I think I've found a way to demonstrate the power creep from movie to standard

mumak commander, giant among the swertings + pavise
vs.
Desert lord + seasoned leader

mumak commander dishes out more wounds in the phase before desertlord and, if you're oponnent is playing 3+ possessions, is cheaper, granted desert lord would be stronger bu the mumak commander cannot be killed and so he must skirmish if I gave you an in game choice of spending on either the mumak commander and the pavise or the desert lord and seasoned leader you'd take the mumak commander for sure
