Threat/Forest Nazguls
« on: December 01, 2010, 05:54:54 PM »
A very good friend of mine who wants to play again asked me to create a decklist for a threat-nazgul deck. He played threat nazguls years ago, and it was his favorite deck, so I couldn't convince him to play different shadow. I write this to the expanded forum only because it uses the old Pale Blade, but I can easily replace it with something else to make it a standard deck, but it does not really matters since our playgroup is not cutthroat competitive.

Here is the list I came up with:

4 x Lemenya, Eternally Threatening
4 x The Witch-King, Morgul King
3 x Nelya, Third of the Nine Riders
3 x Cantea, Faster than Winds
2 x Enquea, Duplicitous Lieutenant
3 x Toldea, Black Shadow

2 x They Feel The Precious
2 x There Came a Cry
2 x Ring of Terror
2 x The Pale Blade
1 x Ghastly Host
4 x Dark Approach
4 x Lost in the Woods

(38)

It is not that bad imo, I mixed it with some forestgul cards, but he can't say a word, since the main focus is still around threats. I tried to squeeze in some CbtR and Threatening Guide, but I couldn't find enough places. Morgul King can be pretty nasty pulling Ring of Terror, and then the ring pulls The Pale Blade for damage +2.

It needs a FP side that benefits from forest sites, and can maipulate the adventure deck, but luckily, he is open for almost any FP side, so I can deal with that part :).

So, all input is welcome, cheers:

Drop The Pale Blade and make it Standard. Most decks don't cut it in Expanded, and [Gondor] Roaming IB will eat this deck.
