LotR Launcher!

I created a little program to help with a bunch of the more common GCCG tasks. Starting with version 1.2.0, you'll see a Lotr.exe file with the ring icon in your GCCG folder. This file will give you the option to:

-Change your window size
-Switch between full screen and windowed mode
-Switch between House Rules and OFFICIAL RULES for the deck check
-Change your username and/or password settings
-Move your settings to your GCCG folder instead of C:\.gccg (useful for portable GCCG)
-Run an "Emergency Repair" for certain circumstances

The interface is fairly self-explanatory. Please post here with feedback and bug reports!

Also, it's a good thing to know that you can set your own password on the GCCG server with the /passwd command:

/passwd supersecretpassword

That way you don't have to bug me for it if you lose it.

As an aside, if you want the cards to look proportional, an X:Y ratio of 7:5 (1.4:1) works quite well.

Just to clarify, if you want to change your password inside GCCG, use the /passwd command. The launcher is useful if you want to switch which user to log in or fix a broken/lost password.

Yeah, good clarification, otherwise some moron could just write a new password, click "write login" and have to bother Kralik to reset the password!

is this launcher a seperate file for download of off the GCCG site? Or do i just need to download the new GCCG verson to get it?

I'm a bit confused about the official/house rules option, does it just change which the deck check looks for? Or do you enter a separate lobby?

Just the legality checks.

There are two sets of legality checks: local and server.

The local-based check is what you see when you run Check Legality For... in the deck editor.
The server-based check is what you see when you start a game.

The server checks are taken care of based on individual tables. Assuming that some players want to keep using the official rules, they can permanently set their local checks to use those. Or someone could switch back and forth if they wish.
