How to resolve this actions...

Hi at all!

few days i played with my friend and we found a doubt.

The fellowship player has Pippin, Wearer of Black and Silver and Faramir, Bearer of Quality and he bears The One Ring, Answer To All Riddles .

The shadow player has Gollum, Stinker , promise keeping , Not This Time! .

The FP has 2 threads and Faramir (ring-bearer) has 2 wounds.
The SP has gollum with 1 wound.

At the skirmish phase, FP pass, and the SP wants to remove 2 threads to use  Not This Time! and to kill ring-bearer. At this time, the FP says that first has to resolve the first action (first exertion of gollum with not this time!) because then want to wound Faramir to make gollum roaming and then use Pippin to wound twice gollum to reduce de life to 1 and can't exert him.

What is the procedure to resolve that?

When gollum exerts, the Free People's player can't respond with a phase action. So, no that wouldn't work.

i know that... the question is after the first exertion from gollum who has de next action... FP to use pippin to wound twice gollum or gollum to use not this time again?

Free People's Player Passes.
Shadow player removes one threat, wounds Faramir. Promise Keeping exerts a companion (likely, Faramir).
Free People's Player gets an action (puts on The One Ring, Answer to All Riddles).
Shadow player removes one threat, wounds Faramir. Second burden.
Gollum loses the skirmish and is killed.

Either way, Faramir survives.

The Free Peoples player always gets the first action. After that, it goes back and forth. Why didn't Faramir just put on the ring?

Here is how it goes: Round 1: Faramir, BoQ vs. Gollum, Stinker

FP has the first action:

only available actions are:
1) Wound Faramir to make Gollum roaming
2) Take Pippin into hand for no effect
3) Put on the ring
4) Pass any action

Let's say  the FP chose option 1). Gollum is now roaming.

Now its SP turn. Only available actions:

1) Use Not This Time
2) Pass any action

Let's say it's option 1). Now Faramir is wounded and exhausted.

Now FP's turn for action:

1) Put on the Ring
2) Take Pippin into hand to kill gollum
3) Pass

FP chooses 2) and kills gollum.

If that was not the order of actions taken, please correct me. I hope this helps.

Don't forget about Promise Keeping after wounding Faramir. That exertion would (conceptually) go to Pippin, Wearer of Black and Silver.

if i understand correctly the order finally would be only one action each player (for example make gollum roaming wounding faramir counts like an action and discart pippin count like a other action) until the players pass.

1) FP --> Make Gollum roaming wounding Faramir
2) SP --> Exert Gollum with Not this Time!
3) FP --> Discart Pippin and wound twice Gollum
etc...

Yes. That is correct. Each phase both players can have actions. Always the Free Peoples player has the first action and then shadow player has his action and so on, and so on. Once both players consecutively pass, the phase ends and another one begins.

Note that Free Peoples player can't say Pass just to see if the shadow player has anything to play, because if the shadow player says Pass also, the phase ends and the Free Peoples player doesn't get another chance to do his action, although I don't think many players outside of any kind of tournament would mind such an omission.

well wouldn't faramir have to take an exertion from him wounding himself to make gollum roaming. If that is the case wouldn't gollum kill Faramir in that reguard.

FP action: Wound Faramir to make him roam (thus taking an exertion from PK)
SP action: remove a threat exert Gollum to wound Faramir (and PK again if not exhausted).

Well nevermind I guess with AtAR he will survive unless he was wounded already. Anyway the real question is did you exert him again with Promise Keeping when he wounded himself to make you roam? seems to me like you coulda hit him with at least 4 wounds (well 2 wounds and 2 exertions) at least. I'm guessing Faramir's self wound still trigger Promise keeping as he took that wound during a skirmish involving a [gollum] minion.
