Stampeding Savage + Wildman's Oath

It seems to me like all the minions I discard for Stampeding Savage + himself would be back on top of Wildman's Oath, as if nothing had happened... is that right?

Discarded is always from play unless mentioned. So the Oath should only stack the Stampeding Savage.
