First of all, many thanks to the makers of Gemp-Lotr for making a great game. I especially appreciate the current merchant system that changes prices depending on how often buy vs. sell the card.
As a newer player, though I have a small problem with the price of many staple common cards such as Hobbit Swords, and
Hobbit Intuition along with most sites on the site path. Many common cards are over 2 gold in price which is a lot when just starting out. I was further surprised to see that many of these cards cannot be sold back to the merchant even once one gains a few more. This seems to artificially keep the price high, as there are lots of people willing to sell the card but who are unable to.
After doing some research, I found that the store will not buy cards if there are more than 100 in stock. Perhaps instead of simply refusing to buy any more, the store cut the price that it buys for like how it raises the price if there are too few of a card. Perhaps cards with a stock more than 100 will be bought for only 1/10 the price that it would ordinarily buy for. If this pushes the price below some threshold (maybe 1 silver), then the store no longer buys it.
I feel that this would immensely help new players because it would bring the price of these staples lower while not overly distorting the market.
I look forward to hearing your comments. Thank you very much.
