Besieger Strategy

I'm just getting back into the game after a five or so year hiatus. Something that I never understood was the besieger strategy. How do besiegers work and what is a good strategy with which to use them. Some friends and I just bought a 13,000 card lot from an individual who had won numerous tournaments, so lack of besieger cards is not a problem.

Troop Tower
To control sites
Gorgoroth Swarm
Grond
I like
Gorgoroth Keeper
Tower Walkway
Great Siege Towers
Great Hill Troll
Gorgoroth Soldier
Keep them alive
Gorgoroth Agitator
I play besiegers with
Southron Archer
x4 and just kill everything with archery at the end

To expand a bit on the cards MuadDib pointed out,
Great Hill Troll
,
Olog-hai of Mordor
, and
Troll of Gorgoroth
form a pretty typical "troll swarm" of super cheap big minions.
Gate Troll
is sometimes included as well.
Another way to play them is lean into the strength bonuses of
Tower Walkway
and
Troop Tower
.
Gorgoroth Pillager
and
Gorgoroth Troop
are the key minions, and if all goes well you unleash 4-5 15+ strength and fierce minions at sites 7-9 (
Gorgoroth Keeper
and the 3-cost ones will be easily afforded). Even if you don't overwhelm anybody the wounds pile up fast.
In general, Besiegers play as kind of a hybrid beatdown / swarm deck and rely on Engines and/or sites to accomplish that. It requires setup (you're probably not going to win out of the blue with them at one prefect site) but has a lot of potential.
