12 Days of Yuletide

Let's get this party started! Every day for the next 12 days, we will be releasing a blog post detailing 1 new aspect of the PC's work.

This will culminate in this month's PC League, which will start 19 December (on the 20th anniversary of the release of the FOTR movie!) and run extra-long.  Keep an eye out for these posts to see what will be different!

As announced on Day 2, Shadow of the Past will be released for public playtesting in the coming weeks.  Today we look a little closer at some of the Moria cards that will be included in this virtual set.

Today we take a small break from Set V1 news and discuss the future of Errata in PC formats.  What is our goal?  How can we get there?

Also announcing that there will be new errata included in the Yuletide Leagues which start on 19 December, on the 12th Day.  What cards do you want to see changed?  What are the most pressing problems?  Let us know in the comments below.

Moving forward, the PC will be running two league events per month.  There will be some elements of this in the Yuletide League starting on the 19th...but details on that will have to wait for a future Day!

This month's Yuletide League is special--it's the season of giving after all, so we are giving away far more digital promos than usual! 

But there's more!

- There are not 1 but 3 Yuletide Leagues, one for each PC format, and each of them has unique tiers of prizes!  Pick your favorites and dive in!

- The leagues will run for 15 days (15 max games each), covering the whole holiday season and giving us all a chance to get our fill of LotR-TCG (and then some!)

- The leagues will have a fresh batch of errata applied just before they start, some of which will turn their format on its head--more details on that tomorrow!

We announced previously that errata would be applied in time for the Yuletide Leagues, and here we are spoiling what those are.  For now these will only apply to the Playtest formats and the Yuletide Leagues, but following the end of the Leagues they are likely to be promoted assuming there weren't any major issues found.

Feedback is most welcome!  Not just on the changes themselves, but on which cards were selected and what wasn't.  At the moment a lot of what makes it to our radar is based on who screams the loudest, so if there's a card or combo that needs looked at, let us know!
