One Ring to rule them all.
One Ring to find them.
One Ring to bring them all,
And in the darkness, bind them.

"There are worlds out there where the sky is burning, and the sea's asleep, and the rivers dream; people made of smoke and cities made of song. Somewhere there's danger, somewhere there's injustice, somewhere else the tea's getting cold. Come on, Ace. We've got work to do."

Mithrandir I am known to the Elves, Tharkun to the dwarves; Olorin was the name in my youth in the West which is forgotten, in the South Incanus, in the North Gandalf; into the East I will not go."

1) #3 (I love that the Naith could be about those archery reduction cards - it's cool to have 2 underdeveloped themes coming together)
2) #2 (just a swish and simple archery Elf - nothing wrong with that!)
3) #6 (I like this as a build for a follower - the way it makes the vitality bonus matter - even though it doesn't feel particularly Naith to me)

Well, with that last vote, we seem to have a whole bunch of ties, which means 5 of us end up in the top 3 of this round! And lets give all these excellent people some :gp:

1) lem0n (#2) and sickofpalantirs (#4)
2) Anvar (#3) and GarrisonofGondor (#7)
3) MR. Lurtzy (#8)

Which means we now move into the final round for this second virtual contest. I hope this round is going to really get those creative juices flowing, because I have a very cool cycle for us to retouch:

For this round I want you to make 2 cards, 1 Free Peoples banner and 1 Shadow banner. So, as a reminder of the rules of this contest, your cards should:

1) Have the same titles (with a (V) attached to the end)
2) Have the same twilight cost and culture note that the Free Peoples one will cost [1], and the Shadow one will cost (0)
3) Have whatever attribute modifiers you think appropriate
4) Have a different text, maybe similar, but could also be on completely different lines. Card type is completely open to debate here - I can see these as possessions, conditions or events - though with a quick word of advice: one of the reasons the originals were not used was because they were hand weapons and there were much better hand weapons you'd want to use instead, ones that gave you strength bonuses, for example. So, if you do decide to make a possession, I would counsel on either making it not a hand weapon or make it worthwhile to be used instead of just straight swords. Other than that, both cards should feel part of the cycle and so their mechanics and card type and such things should be very similar.
5) Have a lore which you want, it's really up to you - you can keep the same lore or put in your own, it doesn't really matter.

So your FP card should look a bit like this:

[1] Banner of _______ (V) [Culture]
Type • Sub-type
Strength: (+)A
Vitality: (+)B
Resistance/Site: (+)C
Text.
Lore.
6 V XX

and your Shadow card should look a bit like this:

(0) Banner of _______ (V) [Culture]
Type • Sub-type
Strength: (+)A
Vitality: (+)B
Resistance/Site: (+)C
Text.
Lore.
6 V XX

Deadline is going to be Wednesday 24th June, so get your entries in before then. I don't want to have to pester you again! ;) And also remember that there will be prizes for at least the top 2 of the overall contest, so votes in this final round really could count a great deal. 8-)

Good luck! :)

Thranduil

Why remake Banner of Westernesse? I love that + Gondor bow!

Yeah, that's the only one I like as well because knights win skirmishes without strength, and it just makes all your guys into Hero of Osgiliath! Still, there's always room for creativity.

I don't call 3 entries a particularly good turnout. PLEASE get me your entries before the end of today.
