Then make it 1, 6 and 3. ;) Also, I did not know you corrected them, but since I already "judged" these ones, I'll keep it in mind for next round. However, I didn't disregard any card based solely on this anyway, so I'll stand by my votes. :D

Well unfortunately I can't yet tell you who has won this round because Mr. Lurtzy has not voted yet. That said, I want to post the next round, so ML can vote at a later date and I will post round 3's winners (though I will not accept an entry from him for this round until he votes in the last).

One of the key story lines in the Two Towers was obviously the Three Hunters, a theme which remained almost completely underdeveloped until Hunters block. Well, here are the original Three Hunters:

For this round, you should make 1 of those 3 companions and on that companion should be an implication on how your 3 hunters might work as a trio and a strategy (you can add author's notes if you want).

Just to restate the rules, your chosen card should:

1) Have the same title (with a (V) attached to the end)
2) Have the same twilight cost and culture
3) Have whatever attributes or attribute modifiers you think appropriate
4) Have a different text, maybe similar, but could also be on completely different lines but as I said above, your card needs to imply a strategy for the Three Hunters
5) Have a lore which you want, it's really up to you - you can keep the same lore or put in your own, it doesn't really matter.

So your card should look a bit like this:

[X]Card Title, Sub-title (V) [Culture]
Type • Sub-type
Str: +A
Vit: +B
Res/Sit: +C
Text
Lore
4 V XXX

Your entries should be PMed to me before Thursday 29th, so you've got just under a week.

Remember this is still an open contest, so as long as you send me your card by the deadline (regardless of how many rounds you have entered in the past), you will have entered the contest and I will post your card with the others.

Good luck!

Okay, I think I've got 3 or 4 entries. But I need your entries by Thursday. Seriously, I need to post the cards on Friday morning at the latest so that you guys can get voting; otherwise, I won't be able to do anything until Monday.

Right, we're good to go. Not much preamble. I think this was a hard round, so let's see what wonders you guys have produced! 8-)

As normal, vote for your favourite 3 in order.

Voting deadline is Saturday 7th February.

Companion • Dwarf
Strength: 6
Vitality: 3
Resistance: 6
Damage +1. Hunter 1.
When you play Gimli, if you can spot Legolas, draw a card.
At the start of the regroup phase, if Gimli and Aragorn's combined vitality is the same as the amount of cards in your hand, you may reinforce a [Dwarven] token for each culture you can spot.
"'You speak evil of that which is fair beyond the reach of your thought, and only little wit can excuse you.'"

Resistance: 7
Ranger. Hunter 2.
Skirmish: Play a [Gondor] skirmish event to make Gimli strength +2 until the regroup phase.

Anvar
[4]Aragorn, Wingfoot (V) [Gondor]
Companion • Man
Strength: 8
Vitality: 4
Resistance: 7
Ranger.
Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas each gain the Aragorn signet.
Regroup: Exert Aragorn to play Merry or Pippin from your discard pile.
"It was not long before Aragorn found fresh signs. At one point, near the bank of the Entwash, he came upon footprints: hobbit-prints..."

[2]Gimli, Lockbearer [Dwarven]
Companion • Dwarf
Strength 6
Vitality 3
Aragorn Signet
Damage +1.
Each time the fellowship moves during the regroup phase, you may spot a companion of another culture to take a Free Peoples card of the same culture into hand from your discard pile.
"'You speak evil of that which is fair beyond the reach of your thought, and only little wit can excuse you.'"
4 V 48

NOTES: This new 3 Hunters strategy is - as I felt it should have been to begin with - all about the regroup phase. They ran in the books, and they should run in the game. There wouldn't be a mess of "make the move limit +1" cards since that would have abuse written all over it, but a lot of the strategy would revolve around double-moving. This Gimli reinforces your other companions for sticking to the path, for surging forward in pursuit of the little Shirefolk.
