Looking at my sheet of paper, it looks like I'm the only contestant who has yet to vote!

So, let's go for:

1) 3
2) 7
3) 5

And this leaves us with a very close round. So I said the deadline was Friday, so I'd prefer to wait until then just in case another person puts a vote that might break the ties.

bump!
Mithrandir I am known to the Elves, Tharkun to the dwarves; Olorin was the name in my youth in the West which is forgotten, in the South Incanus, in the North Gandalf; into the East I will not go."

Right then, let's get down to business!

The winners from the last round are:

1) MR. Lurtzy (#4)
2) lem0nhead (#1)
3) Braler/Anvar/Sweet_Stuff (#3/#5/#8)

So :gp: to all of those excellent souls, and then on with the next round! \:D/

One of the most disappointing subcultures of all time. No it's not [Isengard] Men which we dealt with a while back, it's of course [Sauron] Wraiths!

So, your task for this round is to make a virtual version of 1 of those Wraiths. As a reminder of the rules, your card should:

1) Have the same title (with a (V) attached to the end)
2) Have the same twilight cost and culture
3) Have whatever attributes or attribute modifiers you think appropriate
4) Have a different text, maybe similar, but could also be on completely different lines. Card type is particularly open for this round - I could easily see these titles on conditions or followers or even events. Of course, they could also be minions if you wanted.
5) Have a lore which you want, it's really up to you - you can keep the same lore or put in your own, it doesn't really matter.

So your card should look a bit like this:

[X] Title (V) [Sauron]
Type • Sub-type
Str: +A
Vit: +B
Res/Sit: +C
Text
Lore
6 V XXX

Deadline is going to be Monday 13th April, so get your entries in before then.

Good luck! :)

I have hardly any entries and I understand this could be because this is a hard round. So I would just like to add what I think might be angles to take. The first thing I would note is that I don't think you should be dealing only with [Sauron] Wraiths because there are only 3 of them and 3 minions make for a very uninspiring sub-culture! I think that there are probably 3 main avenues for design on these guys:

- I would try to make them work with The Wraith Collection or [Wraith] minions in general. In this case, I might suggest thinking about them as [Wraith] cards more than [Sauron] cards and do stuff that the [Wraith] culture does (like twilight and all its trappings (wearing the One Ring, for example), enduring with skirmish healing abilities, corruption, wounds on the Ring-bearer, controlling assignment etc.).

- Another angle would be to deal with "Wraithly themes" rather than any particular culture. Instead of thinking of the cards as [Sauron] or [Wraith] cards, think of them as part of the "wraith tribe". Think about resistance, enduring, burdens, being unkillable, threats and other things which feel suitably wraithly.

- Another thought might be to think about the Last Alliance where these Wraiths come from and deal with the [Sauron] culture and [Sauron] themes. After all, many of them are fallen soldiers of Sauron. Maybe you could be taking inspiration from classic [Sauron] stuff like Sauron grind (direct wounding from Fellowship block), Enduring Evil, DDotR, Sauron mill (discarding the FP player's draw deck) etc.

I hope these brief thoughts of mine encourage you to send me lots of juicy entries!

Have you considered that people might be away and/or otherwise busy with easter holidays and such like? Perhaps you need a week extension - I could certainly do with it.

That's no problem, I had not considered Easter and such. Let's extend the deadline another week, then, as you suggest. New deadline will be Monday 20th.

This seems a really quiet time. I've got only 5 entries. Luckily, there's 7 hours left, and I'm sure I can make allowances if people tell me they're submitting. So I'm going to do something I haven't done in a while (probably a mistake!) and PM the #$&*@! out of all those latent contestants! That's what you get for not sending me your entries in good time! ;)
