Stacking - new player question
« on: February 27, 2009, 07:00:35 AM »
Hi

I can't find anything in the rulebook specifically about how cards are "stacked". I see some references in the latest rules, but no specific description in the glossary of terms. Also, I see reference to "stacked" cards on other cards, but nothing which allows you to "stack" cards on others.

So, I am currently working with the assumption that there are cards out there which allow you to stack cards on other cards? Is this right? If so, would someone be kind enough to post a couple of links so I can see them? I don't own any at the moment (but I am just catching up with changes to the game!)

Thanks
Chris

Yeah stacking card tactics work like token tactics really. There are cards that get bonuses from others that are stacked or conditions you can use the cards stacked on them etc... You can, stack more, remove some and other things.

For example

Preparations

Flung Into The Fray

Web

Loyalty Unshaken
Ban shampoo, demand real poo.
That's like having "Some Who Ride Ponies" as a Rohan follower. ~ Dain Ironfoot.

Brilliant, thats great. Could I also ask for a link to a card which allows the Shadow player to stack on a controleld location? It was reference to cards stacked on a location which made me ask the question and I'd like to see what the Shadow player can do with this!

Dunlending Looter is a good example of what first came to mind for me when you mentioned stacking cards.

Besiegers ([Sauron]) are heavy on site-stacking goodness. Samples: Gorgoroth Troop punts besiegers there, a stacked Gorgoroth Pillager makes besiegers fierce, and Their Marching Companies plays them again.
