Well, for me, they don't. But a "new" icon appears next to them.

Unread posts retain the "new" icon even when they're shifted down and to other pages, but if it's not that... maybe take a screenshot of this forum? I expect topics are going to be shifted around, but if someone can compare it right after you post, we can see what's going on.

OK, it seems like the general majority wants to retain TLHH. I'm going to go ahead and unsticky this thread. In the meantime, here are some of my plans for the old CC:

  • Keep phpBB upgraded and working
  • Tighten security all-around (e.g. disallow registration and login)
  • Fix child boards display problem (e.g. Deck Clinic)
  • Restore old theme and colors if possible
  • Fix broken links: change all cobracards.com links to lotrtcgwiki.com links
  • Delete all old CC and LoTRDBAL card view links
  • Tie in CC with the AutoLink code for THLL so that it is updated automatically

Let me know if there's anything else you'd like to see there. :)

Is there a way of getting the culture/twilight symbols back in the old CC? And is there a way that we can edit posts so that we can copy the source text rather than losing the format and symbols?

Those were the two things I was going to ask, so I'll just second that.

Believe me...I understand how THAT goes.

Take your time, man. Just whenever you can get to it. And again, if I can offer any assistance, let me know.
Best regards,
Dáin

I'd love to get paid for doing this stuff! Of course, maybe it wouldn't be as fun if I had to do it...

Yeah, making it an actual job DOES suck some of the fun out of stuff, it's true. But you're doing one heck of an excelent job so far, you know!

hold that thought...

Anyways I voted to keep TLHH.  It has gone ( and still is going ) under a big amount of activity. I'd like to keep the original CC up for arcival purposes, and also for all the members who have huge trade lists and obviously don't want to re-type them.

sorry but I am out of the loop.
Is there any chance that we could have things like strategy articles put up over here? where are we gonna put the old posts for CC? I don't really care about post count but I really would like to have the strategy articles back...

Tonight's work on CC:

--Got the old theme working!
--Fixed the login issue. You should now be able to log in to view the members lounge (once again members only) and to edit/view your old posts.
--Added a logo to the top.

Let me know what you think! :)

EDIT: Note that the forum is fully functional, but I would prefer that you post on TLHH unless we all decided en masse to move back to CC. Best to keep everything in one place. Eventually I should be able to put the child board mod / shop mod in place.
