Stewards' Legacy Wounding
«

The *edited* deck needs some work still; thoughts?
Companions/Followers:
Boromir, BoC
(RB)
The One Ring AtaR
Denethor, LRS
(start)
Faramir, PoI
(start)
Aragorn,
Thorongil
Garrison of Gondor
Madril, FA
(not sure about him)
Legolas, FM
Radagast, the Brown
Dinendal, MA
Possessions/Artifacts:
Gondorian Blade
x3
Bow of Minas Tirith
x3
Ranger's Cloak
x3
Aragorn's Bow
Faramir's Bow
Ring of Barahir
Brego, LS
Coat of Mail
Flaming Brand
Narsil, BotF
Conditions:
Stewards' Legacy
x3
The Saga of Elendil
Soldier's Cache
Hardy Garrison
Ithilien Trap
Houses of Healing
Events:
Defend It And Hope
x2
No Travellers in this Land
x2
Much Needed Rest
Total: 37
Pretty straight-forward wounding strategy: get
Stewards' Legacy
out ASAP and then use
DiaH
and
NTitL
and exert to exert+wound in one hit. If needed, ditch a useless possession (like your guys are gonna fight...) and use Denethor's ability to destroy some high vitality guys, then proceed to use your events, or even
Brego, LS
, to finish minions off in maneuver. Addtl. option w/
Thorongil
; be careful with threats. Added with max base 4 archers and the possible added arrows at battleground sites w/ the bows, archery should finish off the wounded and weak. If that doesn't work, you have Legolas or Madril's ability in combo with
Hardy Garrison
for more double-wounding fun. If by some chance your guys
do
have to fight, you'll usually have a beefy
Thorongil
(nabbed w/
The Prancing Pony
) w/ a sword, bow, cloak, and some hunting capabilities.
Paired with a
Harsh Tongues
/Rout
Shadow. Pretty much an all around wounding deck.
Could use some trimming down, but other than that, any critiques?

Does this deck work? It seems as though you wound minions then exert them, so if its a 2 vitality minions you can't kill it with 1
DiaH
.

I'm pretty sure
Stewards' Legacy
's effect kicks in before the event's wound ability, because of the "each time" effect.
EDIT: Confirmed. It works

Try to fit in Shards of Narsil, it can be so good, cause what if you have 3 Steward's Legacies early game? Stack all you don't need yet onto Shards. Maybe use Denethor to get it at site 3 or make a gandalf twist with
Terrible and Evil
and
Saved from the Fire
, to make a dream start with Gondor.
Maybe add Faramir (T&D one) for more action with steward's legacy. That way you heal and you paralize a potential threat.

What do you do vs decks that play prewounding prevention? Or Morgul orcs?

continue the wounding :-) till they are dead!! Oh and
Denethor, Last Ruling Steward
! He is brilliant! 1 possession gone, 2 exertions added, that is amazing!

I'd go with
Faramir, CoI
, but I don't have it. Same with
Saved From the Fire
lol
As far as archery and wounding, most minions die by the maneuver phase
The deck's really just susceptible to
hate. I think I'm gonna add a Saga, and maybe drop a Legacy (though, the deck sort of revolves around it.. ) and maybe try to add Shards.
PS - Oh the Denethor thing is nice, but I think he would work better with his own style deck (
Heirs of Gondor
,
Boromir, DH
, etc.)

An own style deck? This is his style of deck, check the number of possessions you have, check the aim of the deck: maneuver wounding...dude, seriously, this entire deck screams Denethor....
