SGollum did state non-foil (with the exception of Reflections), but yes I do agree if we're talking foils from sets 1-10 that ATAR is probably the most valuable.  Likely followed by Isildur's Bane, SawtC, Goblin Armory, Hides, FotW, Simbelmyne, Double ShotA Wizard is Never Late doesn't quite seem to be in the same tier for pricing, but I'm not sure why because imo it should be near the top based on it's usefulness as you mentioned.

Honestly it's quite nice than none of the cards are overly expensive outside of foil variants or promos.  Too bad the later sets aren't the same.  :-S

That's the reason I don't purchase 11-19 physically. It's just too pricey for 13-18 to get into, especially when I can just play Gemp when I want to use those.

Everything Gollum says is automatically the best LOTR qoutes.

Even if you do have them you can most probably only play GEMP ;)

Also I think the classic shotgun Enquea should be fairly pricy too, despite being only an uncommon. Pretty sure I never seen one, and that's probably THE nr1 splash minion across all formats.

I have 2 shotgun Enqueas. I wish they were foil. What I do have is a foil Enquea, Thrall of the One, though it's kinda beat up.

Yes, I was talking foil of course. Regular copies were even fixed in the FOTR Deluxe starter iirc.

Had 2x, just traded 1x away.  I agree that it is one of the more expensive cards, probably 20+.

I've received interest in a bunch of my cards and have been asked to make an offer. In order to get a feeling for the current prices I've checked both Category1Games and CCG Obsession (draconicum sadly being down).
In general, how accurate do you think the prices of those shops are? I want to make a fair offer that's not way overpriced or too cheap, but just have no clue how realistically these prices are.  ???

I generally take the lowest price between those 2 and CCG Singles, and for expensive cards I'll also check ebay.  I'll knock off ~10% from that, and usually it people agree to it.  Occasionally it doesn't work out, but that's okay too.  I'm not going to stress over someone who's convinced that they should pay way less than market value, or that I should pay them way more.

An important note is to ignore any price on webshops that's listed for out of stock cards. There are some cards that are in such high demand and comparatively low supply that their prices are continously on the rise these past years. Good examples would be some top Hunters block uncommons, like Momentous Gathering or Something Slimy or a power card like High King of the Noldor (HKOTN not having RF or Masterworks version made it way less accessible than say Beorning Axe, that otherwise would be in the same price/power bracket).

Other than that just go with what Air Power said :)

@Air Power & @Shelobplayer
Thank you both for your advice. Your way sounds really fair, Air Power, so I'll go along with that. ´ :up:
